Cerebral
Palsy
Cerebral Palsy is a brain disorder that may cause problems controlling
muscles. Symptoms include difficulty performing delicate tasks, maintaining
balance, walking and involuntary movements. Some people also suffer
from other problems including seizures or mental impairment. This
condition may be the result of medical malpractice.
Cerebral Palsy can be caused by errors during the child birth process.
Failing to perform a timely C-Section, failing to recognize that
a baby is in distress, or depriving a baby of oxygen during the
birth process are only a few of the medical mistakes that can cause
Cerebral Palsy.
Most families do not have the resources to cover all of the expenses
to provide for a child’s treatment over his or her lifetime.
If your child has been injured as a result of medical malpractice,
then your child may be entitled to financial compensation. We can
get you and your child the compensation to help care for and assist
your child for the rest of his or her life. We can also ensure that
your child’s medical, living and education expenses will be
covered for the remainder of his or her life.
Shearer & Essner, LLP, has successfully recovered many multi-million
dollar settlements for children with Cerebral Palsy and their families.
